Happy New Year, all! I hope you’re getting a great start to 2012. I hope your holiday season was fantastic. For me, it was a Christmas of designing logos for the family! One of my presents for my hub-hubs, Jeff, was an apron with a ‘Jeff the Chef’ logo. (Seriously, he is amazing in the kitchen.) But a few days before Christmas, Jeff’s sister called me with a request to design a logo for an apron for her hubby too! This was crazy, because I hadn’t told anyone about my apron gift for Jeff! So, this was a classic case of ‘great minds.’ ;D Here are my logos for Joe and Jeff. (As you can see, Jeff’s sis is serving up some tough, albeit playful love to the male chef in her life. ;P) Feel free to contact me if you’d like a logo of your own. ^_^
Here’s a print of my Dad’s finished logo honoring his 20th year at his company. I loved that he loved it. Nothing like getting that big hug and tear-filled smile. 😀
I’m sketching up a logo in honor of my dad, who celebrated his 20th year at his company this week. I can’t wait to vector it up, print it, frame it, and give it to him as a present tomorrow! (Yeah, no chance he’ll read this before mañana – he’s taking care of Thanksgiving dinner! ;P)
What a great post-Labor Day treat: Computer Arts just launched their sexy, shiny, brand-spankin’ new website! And compared to their previous site, it’s brighter and and easier to navigate.
Computer Arts is my favorite industry magazine. This UK publication is just always ahead of the curve when it comes to the latest and greatest in the design world. Every single issue never fails to get me bursting with inspiration, making me feel like I can take on the most daunting of schedules and deadlines. (But don’t get any ideas, clients! 😛 Haha.)
I love how CA’s new site allows you to create and account and has special freebies for subscribers, one of which I’m most excited about is that you can now download free digital back issues. Yeah!
And of course, they have the best tutorials.
Enjoy, and be prepared for an onslaught of inspiration. 😀
